Acme Packet Net-Net family of session border controllers and multiservice security gateways satisfy critical security, service assurance and regulatory requirements in wireline, cable and wireless networks; and support multiple protocols—SIP, H.323, MGCP/NCS and H.248—and multiple border points—interconnect, access and data center.

With deployments at over 500 customers in more than 85 countries, the Net-Net products support a wide range of applications spanning VoIP interconnects/peering for IP transit, PSTN origination and termination and ASP access and hosted business and residential IP communications, including IP centrex, voice over broadband, and 3G video telephony.

Agsm Telecommunicazioni selected Acme Packet’s SBC’s for hosted SIP services in Italy for a multi-phased project that will first deliver enhanced SIP-based services to business and residential customers and will later include peering with other service provider networks.

AMA TechTel Communications, the largest locally-owned telecommunications company in West Texas, is using Acme Packet’s session border controllers for a comprehensive network migration that involves the delivery of VoIP services to its rural business and residential subscribers and interconnecting via IP to other providers. Acme Packet's SBC was selected due to its support for both SIP and MGCP, hosted NAT traversal and advanced security functionality.

Broadview Networks, a leading US CLEC, has chosen Acme Packet’s SBCs to provide the critical security and control features Broadview requires for both its hosted IP services and VoIP peering with other service providers. Acme Packet’s Net-SAFE security architecture provides denial of service attack protection, topology hiding and access control, ensuring Broadview’s service availability. Due to the Net-Net SBC’s rich feature set and field-proven interoperability with other core VoIP network elements, Broadview minimized costs and time associated with launching its production services. The Net-Net SBC also maximizes service reach by allowing VoIP calls to traverse existing data firewall/NAT devices at Broadview’s customers’ premises. Acme Packet's flexible call admission control policies on the Net-Net SBC are key features in enabling Broadview to assure high service quality.

Capcom International, Spain’s leading IP telephony provider, has selected Acme Packet’s SBCs for interconnecting its H.323 network with other service provider networks. The simultaneous multi-protocol support with interworking functionally in Acme Packet’s SBCs allows Capcom to peer with other H.323 or SIP-based service providers to expand network reach and vastly increase its traffic volume and revenue.

Charter Communications, the third largest US cable operator is utilizing Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBCs in its Charter Telephone™ VoIP network. The Net-Net product family enables Charter to connect to application service providers (ASPs) to offer innovative IP interactive communication services while protecting its network and providing critical control functions for these services.

China Unicom, one of the largest providers in China, is deploying the Net-Net SBCs in its national converged network that connects residential and business customers all over China. This initial 50-city rollout will enable China Unicom to expand its current offering of VoIP and high-speed data with secure, high-quality video conferencing and other multimedia IP services.

CommPartners is a broadband ASP using the Net-Net SBCs to deliver real-time hosted IP services to small and medium broadband service providers nationwide. CommPartners cites security, QoS and multiprotocol signaling and interoperability as critical to enabling multiple systems operators, cable companies, ISPs, fiber-to-the-home and overbuilding entities to offer—and outsource—voice, data, and other interactive communications services in addition to existing video services.

Comunitel Global, an experienced IP telephony provider in Spain, has selected Acme Packet Net-Net SBCs to expand its presence in Spain and throughout the globe. The highly flexible H.323 implementation in the Net-Net SBCs allows Comunitel to interconnect with other H.323 based network providers to expand network reach and increase its traffic volume and revenue.

Dacom Corporation, the second largest long-distance service provider in Korea, selected Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBC for its BcN (Broadband Communications Network), a next generation network initiative driven by the Korean government to consolidate networks and establish broadband multimedia services. The deployment, with a target to cover Seoul and most major cities in Korea, will allow Dacom to offer VoIP and enhanced services.

D&E Communications , an integrated communications provider serving customers in Pennsylvania for over 100 years, selected the Net-Net session border controllers for Jazzd Phone Service for Broadband, a residential VoIP offering. Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBCs meet D&E’s security and service reach maximization requirements for its new service—specifically access control, topology hiding and hosted NAT traversal.

Ecuity Communications uses Acme Packet's SBCs to expand the reach of its network across the United States. Thanks to the multiprotocol support with interworking functionality in the Acme Packet SBC's, Ecuity can now interconnect with other, previously incompatible SIP or H.323-based networks to maximize service reach and extend the addressable market for its services. Ecuity is able to offer a combination of voice, video and multimedia services with high availability, premium quality and security.


Fonix Telecom, an integrated telecommunications services provider, offers VoIP, broadband services and traditional telephony to business and residential customers throughout the Southeast. Fonix is using the Net-Net SBCs to offer hosted VoIP services throughout its nine-state territory.

Fusion Communications, Japan’s largest VoIP network provider, has deployed Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBC for its SIP-based network. Highly-available non-stop operations, network address and port translations, admission control and per-session QoS reporting for service assurance on the Net-Net SBC allow Fusion or deliver premium SIP-based services to residential and enterprise customers.

Global Crossing deployed Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBCs at its network edge to enable IP network connectivity. The Net-Net SBCs provide peering capabilities with other service providers in order to securely transport services including VoIP, as well as integrated video and data services.

GVT, one of Brazil’s most successful competitive, fixed telephony operators with nearly a million subscribers, launched VoIP services to its business and residential customers using the Acme Packet Net-Net SBCs.

Hanaro Telecom, Korea's second largest wireline and broadband service provider, offers VoIP and broadband services to businesses and residential customers throughout Korea using Acme Packet's Net-Net session border controllers.

Internet Solutions, a South African converged communications provider, selected Acme Packet SBCs to deliver Voice over IS (VoIS), its suite of business VoIP services. Deployed in 5 PoPs, the SBCs enable Internet Solutions to protect its network resources and extend service reach and revenue potential. The features used include topology hiding, service theft protection, call admission control, hosted NAT traversal and H.323 to SIP interworking.

Australian broadband provider Internode deployed Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBCs to support its NodePhone2 VoIP service, a second generation VoIP service for business and residential customers throughout Australia. Internode leverages Acme Packet's SBCs to maximize its service reach, protect the NodePhone network against malicious attacks and assure high service quality.

Iowa Network Services, Inc.(INS) has chosen Acme Packet as its session border control provider to support its hosted VoIP services. Deployed to support both access and interconnect applications, Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBCs enable high-quality hosted IP Centrex business applications and IP PBX trunking along with the ability to securely connect to the broadband networks of INS’ participating LECs.

Koc.net, Turkey’s largest enterprise-focused managed services provider, selected the Net-Net SBCs for interconnecting its H.323 network with other service providers throughout Turkey and beyond. The Acme Packet SBCs, which play a security role and deliver multiprotocol support and signaling interworking, enable Koc.net to extend the service reach of its existing network allowing secure interconnections with previously incompatible networks.


Momentum Telecom Wholesale has selected Acme Packet’s SBCs to secure and extend its private-label digital voice services for business and residential customers. With Acme Packet’s SBCs, Momentum delivers secure digital voice services, while leveraging control over its network and maximizing its service reach and potential.

NTT Communications (NTT Com), the Tokyo-based global IP solution company, has selected the Net-Net SBCs to meet the high availability and security requirements for their commercial network. The multiprotocol support (SIP, H.323, MGCP) with interworking functionality (SIP-H.323, H.323-H.323) in Acme Packet's solution, and critical security features such as hosted NAT traversal, access control, topology hiding and denial of service (DoS) protection, all contributed to NTT Com's decision to deploy Acme Packet.

NuVox Communications, an integrated communications provider serving business customers in the southeastern and midwestern US, uses the Net-Net SBCs for their business VoIP offering. The Net-Net products are providing the security, SLA assurance and service reach functions required for NuVox to continue to deliver reliable and secure services to their business customers.

O1 Communications, a leading California provider of next-generation telecommunications services, deployed Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBCs to support multiple applications to small- and medium-sized enterprises and to service providers. The Net-Net SBCs provide O1 with advanced security, ENUM and service control features necessary for the delivery of high quality IP Centrex, business trunking and PSTN termination services.

Pac-West Telecomm, a provider of a suite of wholesale services to enable integrated communications services, selected Acme Packet's Net-Net SBCs to deliver VoIP interconnect services. The Net-Net SBC acts as the secure bridge between the IP and TDM networks of Pac-West’s service provider customers for PSTN termination and origination. In this role, the SBCs provide a comprehensive set of security functions for Pac-West, including access control, network topology hiding and DoS protection against both signaling and media attacks and overloads.

Primus Telecom in Australia uses Acme Packet's Net-Net SBCs to deliver its TalkBroadband service, a SIP-based VoIP residential offering. The Net-Net adaptive hosted NAT traversal feature extends the service to subscribers behind NAT/firewall devices without any changes to their home networks. Qo) reporting capabilities help Primus monitor and maintain TalkBroadband service quality and application server failure detection and load balancing maximize service uptime. Acme Packet's Net-SAFE security functions protect the SBC and service infrastructure from DoS/DDoS attacks, dynamically control service access and hide network topology.

Telefónica de España, one of the top 10 service providers in the world with over 100 million subscribers, is using Acme Packet’s SBCs for its business and residential VoIP offering throughout Spain. The Net-Net products are providing the security, SLA assurance & service reach maximization features that are essential now, as well as the scalability required as Telefonica adds customers and launches services in new markets.

Telenor, Norway's largest service provider, is using Acme Packet’s products for its business VoIP services and to connect its H.323 backbone with enterprise H.323 PBXs from Alcatel, Cisco and Nortel. The Net-Net SBCs are providing the critical security, SLA assurance and service reach features required for this offering.

Telstra, Australia's leading telecommunications and information services company, has successfully completed a Next Generation Voice engineering trial with residential customers in Victoria, Australia, using Acme Packet’s Net-Net SBCs. Telstra now plans to migrate its Next Generation Voice platform to offer advanced, feature rich applications.

voiceglo, a worldwide, full service VoIP communications company and wholly-owned subsidiary of theglobe.com, is utilizing Acme Packet’s session border controllers for both hosted IP service delivery and interconnecting via IP to PSTN termination networks. voiceglo is offering its customers reliable, high-quality service using either both dial-up or broadband connections. With Acme Packet voiceglo can now guarantee session quality and capacity, all the while protecting its network infrastructure.

Wind Telecomunicazioni, a leading Italian competitive operator which offers integrated fixed, mobile and Internet services, has deployed the Acme Packet to support its residential VoIP offering as part of an Alcatel-Lucent triple-play deployment and IP network transformation program. With signaling interworking, hosted NAT traversal, Net-SAFE security features and call admission control, Wind uses the Net-Net SBCs to deliver secure, high-quality residential VoIP services.
